"A choirboy from the skies of another world, an opera singer from 3019, he hangs on his golden threads of suspended moments."
Kevin Hewick  - 2019
Luke Broughton is a modern day singer song writer. His songs are beautiful and touching. They are poetic songs of love and life that strike a chord inside.
His vocal range is quite spectacular and his lyrics speak of the highs and lows on the journey through life in a way we can all connect with. His  melodies will stay with you long after the stage is empty.

Following on from a wonderful show at The Riverside Festival, Leicester I played a Headline set at The Green Place Sileby as part of their Greenstock Festival. I'd like to say a huge thank you to all the organisers for your great hospitality and making us feel so at home and welcome. You have a beautiful space and I hope to return one day. Also to all the people who turned out and endured the torrents of rain, it means a lot and I'm touched! A very special thank you is reserved for my musical soul mates Leonie Dubarry-Gurr and Dave Dhonau for an amazing LION/S set and for bringing colour to my music. There are big things planned and a couple of new shows in the pipeline where we will literally be taking it to church/churches. I look forward to seeing you soon. Go well in the world. XX
Barefoot Cancellation
It is with regret that I have had to cancel my performance at this
year's Barefoot Festival in Loughborough. Due to circumstances beyond my control I no longer feel that I can do the show under the new circumstances and so it is with a heavy heart that I have pulled out. I apologise to anyone who was looking forward to seeing me there and I hope you respect my decision. Hope to see you somewhere soon. XX

Despite people going in and out of Duffy’s every five seconds, Luke Broughton managed to ignore the noise in the name of an absolutely unearthly performance. If the heavens sang, it would be in Luke and LION/S’s (who joined him on stage) voice.
He’s a strange choirboy sent from the skies to re-define the meaning of beauty and sob over loneliness. I did almost cry.

Gig Review 19.01.19
After my career ending/career rebirth afternoon matinee The Criterion hosted a magical night with Luke Broughton and LION/S. No small part of this was the inventive and striking visuals throughout by Johnny McJohnston and a crowd that was very into being there, making for an inclusive and positive vibe.

Jim Tetlow had told me a bit about LION/S but I was truly blown away by Leonie’s beautiful violin and guitar and her organic loops of instruments and voices. I am not a big looping fan but this was ethereal and captivating, a unique journey into sound.. and her including the audience with bells on her last piece was a superb bit of performer/audience barrier breakdowning.

Only someone as exceptional as Luke could follow that. These acoustic shows unlike any other will be legend in years to come. Luke is able to draw his listeners deep into the delicate power of his haunting songs. A choirboy from the skies of another world, an opera singer from 3019, he hangs on his golden threads of suspended moments.

All this and vegan cake for Luke’s birthday. I’ll recall this event for all my years to come, something truly fresh and uplifting.
